One Of The Best Shooters In The NBA Draft Is Now A Boston Celtic

Thank you. Earlier today I talked about how my number one wish if the Celts were going to keep their 14th pick was to take a shooter. I didn't care who it was, this roster needs shooting. Period. Well, enter Aaron Nesmith. The 6'6 wing from Vanderbilt who shot 52% from three in over 8 attempts a game last season. It was a small sample for sure, and you hope his foot issue isn't a big deal, but by all accounts he is one of if not the best shooter in the draft. That's what the experts who study this say, not just me being a blind homer. If you're more of a visual learner, here you go

There are still more holes and needs to address, but second unit shooting is near the top. This offense needs guys who can play off ball and make shots. Especially with Hayward most likely being out the door.

I'm sure there are people who are going to complain because Ainge didn't trade to move up. Well last time I checked it's a good thing when you don't have to make a trade and still get your guy. Now we'll see what they do with the remaining picks, maybe this is where we see Ainge condense and move up.

Either way, the Celts needed a shooter, and they got one of the best in the class. Fine by me.
