Dave Chappelle Will Host SNL's Post-Election Episode Saturday And "Chappelle's Show" Is Finally On Netflix

Fox News - Dave Chappelle is taking on the challenge of hosting “Saturday Night Live” this weekend, following the 2020 presidential election date.

Chappelle, 47, hits the stage on Nov. 7, and it will be the comedian’s second time hosting the post-election episode of “SNL.”

In 2016, he joked about Trump’s victory over Hillary Clinton, touched on Black Lives Matter, the death of the gorilla Harambe and more in an 11-minute monologue.

The last time Chappelle hosted SNL just so happened to be the post-election special in 2016. For a toned-down, censored show where he was somewhat handcuffed he still managed to kill it. Like he does with everything he does.

He did so well that he won an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his appearance.

So here's hoping he can salvage the sinking ship that it's been this season, and pray to God if Jim Carey is on as Biden again they limit his lines as it's so cringeworthy it's ruining Jim Carey for me.

The musical guest is still yet to be announced so hoping they pair somebody in line with Chapelle for this. Thinking Busta Rhymes, who just dropped a new fuego album. And have him bring Kendrick Lamar along to perform "Over Your Shoulder". Make it happen Lorne.

And in some other exciting news, "Chappelle's Show" is now on Netflix.

CoS - Netflix has acquired the streaming rights to Dave Chappelle’s brilliant early aughts sketch comedy series Chappelle’s Show. The show’s full three-season, 28-episode run will be available on the streaming platform beginning November 1st.

Chappelle’s Show famously aired for three seasons between 2003 and 2006 on Comedy Central, and is widely considered to be one of the best comedies of its time. However, mid-way through the show’s third season, Chappelle abruptly walked away. He later stated that he was “burned out” from the intensive shooting schedule, and also felt the show’s popularity took away from his standup career (he could only take hearing an audience member yell “I’m Rick James, bitch!” so many times.) He then embarked on a prolonged hiatus, during which he only gave occasional standup performances.

Where the fuck was this back in March when we couldn't leave our houses for 3 weeks and the NCAA tourney got canceled? Kids today have no idea, but there used to be these things called DVD box sets back in the 2000s. And the Chapelle Show DVD Box set was a staple in the college dorm room starter kit. You could run those DVDs 24-7 around the clock and they never got old. Not sure if the Netflix streaming, with that annoying "Are You Still Watching" thing will play the same, but fingers crossed.

I went on a search and watch streak a few weeks ago and it's crazy how well most of the skits still stand up.

If you're a youngster that has never seen this show I hate you because of how jealous I am. You just won the entertainment lottery. Click out of this blog now, without watching the videos below and start the series from season 1 episode 1 and watch them in entirety.
