Justin Herbert Injured His Ribs And Please God Nobody Tell The Team Doctor

After Herbert left the field, I naturally assumed he was going to take a possession off to get it checked out. Instead, the team took a timeout right before the next snap and Herbert came back on. Here is what I assume happened:

Herbert takes this mean shot to the gut and has to get helped off the field. He goes to the team doctor who tells him "hmmm seems like its a problem with your ribs, big boy"

Herbert sprints out of there and immediately begs Lynn to go back into the game. "But Justin", Lynn exclaims "You could die if you go back out there!" 

Herbert looks back at the doctor, who is brandishing a comically large, 5' long needle with wide, sexually excited eyes. He doesn't even respond to Lynn, and wheezes his way right back into the loving arms of the Panthers defensive line. 

Oh and for us chargers fans, this is nothing new.
