Oasis 25th Anniversary Reissue Of (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?

Consequence Of Sound - Due out October 2nd, the limited edition reissue will see 1995’s (What’s the Story) completely remastered and pressed as two silver colored LPs, as well as a picture disc on heavyweight vinyl. In the lead-up to its release, “both new and original Oasis content from that era will be made available,” and a press statement urges listeners to follow the hashtag #MorningGlory25 so as not to miss these exclusives.

Led by the Gallagher brothers, Oasis began working on (What’s the Story) mere months after dropping their 1994 debut album, Definitely Maybe. It was recorded at Rockfield Studios in Monmouth, Wales, and finished over the course of just 12 days in Spring 1995.

The now-classic effort put the Brit-rock outfit on the map far beyond the UK, thanks to hits like “Wonderwall”, “Don’t Look Back in Anger”, and “Champagne Supernova”, which still very much live on today as rock anthems. (What’s the Story) went on to become the UK’s fifth best-selling album in history and has since sold 22 million copies worldwide.

If you don't fuck with Oasis then I pity you. They get their dick sucked plenty on this site between Robbie and Nate and I but it's for good reason.

Their first two albums are two of the greatest alternative rock music albums ever recorded. Toss up for which is better between Definitely Maybe and Morning Glory but this news has me all kinds of fired up.

Give me a 3rd remastering and a picture disc of Liam that I can crank up to 11. I wanna hear the chopper blades at the beginning of "Whats The Story Mornig Glory" shake my house.

I wanna feel the attack of Noel's fingers on the piano keys on "Don't Look Back In Anger"

I wanna feel like I'm floating on a never-ending hallucinogenic wave while blasting "Champagne Supernova"

And I wanna feel the reverberations of the guitar strings on "Wonderwall"

Some Might Say that this is just another ploy for Noel and Liam to continue to cash in on the Oasis name while continuing to quarrel like little bitches. Rather than kiss and make up, reunite and tour the world to the delight of millions, they continue their blood feud. I'm still holding out hope, like I did for GnR, that they'll come to their senses and give us the reunion tour we've wanted for years fingers crossed.
