Remembering 9/11 And the Man In the Red Bandana

I couldn’t let the day go without sharing this in case you haven’t seen or it haven’t watched it today. I still watch it every 9/11. It’s sort of my way of remembering the day. I still cry every time I watch it. “Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear.” Like I’d love to believe that I would have done what Welles Crowther did here, but honestly I doubt it. I probably would have hightailed it out of there. That’s what makes this story and Welles Crowther so special. You know he was scared shitless and still risked his life to save others. He is a true American hero any way you look at it. Guys like him make you proud to be an American.
