Just Fucking Wonderful When Aaron Boone Misleads The Media And Fans About Aaron Judge's Health

Last night Aaron Judge connected on his MLB leading 9th home run on the season. It was a majestic shot to right center off of the Toyota sign. When Judge's next turn in the lineup arrived in the Yankees order he was not seen at the plate with a bat. Instead it was Mike Tauchman. In just the 6th inning with a five run lead was Boone really resting the Yankees slugger? Five runs with this depleted bullpen could go away like that. Pulling a guy as hot as Judge is in the 6th inning like that made no sense unless there was an injury. During the remainder of the game you could see Judge in the dugout just hanging out which seemed to calm everyone's nerves a bit. The Yankees went on to win 9-6, but the cloud over a potential Judge injury still loomed large.

In his postgame zoom call Aaron Boone immediately shot down any injury news with 99. He literally said Boone was okay and that he pulled Judge for rest since he had just played four games on the turf at the Trop. Keep in mind there was an off day on Monday and another one coming up on Thursday. We really need to be resting guys like that? The answer was total bullshit.

Welp, turns out Boone blatantly lied to the media and the fans nervously awaiting the news. Aaron Judge is in fact dealing with something and is not in the lineup tonight.

Why the need to lie here? I truly do not understand it. There's zero edge you can gain from the other team by being cryptic about a player's health. None. If this was football I'd get it. Teams will wait until right before kickoff to say if a QB is good to go so the opponent can prep for both guys. Baseball you play everyday. If you're lying everyone will know the next day. All Boone did last night was deceive the Yankees media and fans. The only thing that comes from that is losing your credibility with fans. Was he trying to limit panic? I feel like when you say someone's okay and 12 hours later they're out of the lineup that causes much more panic. Just be real with everyone, it's not hard. Now no one is going to believe a word you say moving forward. I guess that has no effect on him, but that sucks for people who root for these guys and live and die on news like this.

Turns out Judge is dealing with tightness in his hips, hamstrings, and calves...

That's the guy Boone said was totally okay after last night. Gimme a break dude. That's not even being vague. That's straight up lying. When asked if he thinks Judge will play Friday against the Red Sox Boone gave another hopeless answer.

I can feel it already. When's the I.L. announcement coming? Yankees say someone is fine, next thing you know we're talking weeks out of the lineup. Can't believe a word out of Boone's mouth anymore about a player's health status. Fuck this, dude.

P.S. If the Trop is to blame for this injury then push it into the ocean.
