It's been about 15 years now of tooling on ESPN's NHL coverage. Once the NHL was no longer a biz partner after the league's 2005 reboot, SportsCenter had no use for NHL highlights or covering one of the four majors on the same level as the leagues they had deals with. Hockey fans who still watched the network had basically Bucc and Cohn vouching for the league/sport. Fortunately, their dotcom coverage improved immensely over the years, particularly after adding Wyshynski and Emily Kaplan. And you can even watch NHL games on their + app. But as long as the place keeps shitting out tripe like above, they're gonna get ranked on in the internet schoolyard.
