BREAKING: Coach Gus Duggerton Wins Cotton Bowl, Bails For Tennessee Job

What. A. Night.

Gus Duggerton is off to Knoxville and has accepted the head coaching job at the University of Tennessee! Leaving a school after one year is nothing new for America's Head Coach. In five years, he has now gone from Toledo... to Florida State... to USC... to Texas Tech... and now, off to the SEC to lead the Volunteers.

There is no doubting that Coach Duggs was a popular name during this year's Coaching Carousel. He took a 2-10 Texas Tech team and brought them to a New Year's Six Bowl, nearly resulting in a reciprocal record (10-3). Before Tennessee, he was offered Georgia, which was declined.

Now, off to how tonight kicked off: The AT&T Cotton Bowl. The Red Raiders came into the game ranked No. 17, in addition to being underdogs vs. in-state foe (9) Texas A&M.

Coach Duggs did what an honorable HC would do: sent off his superstar running back with the best game of his career.

Hello, Ricky "Buttcheeks" Squeaks.

We wish Ricky Squeaks the best as he moves on to the NFL, where he will now legally be paid the millions of dollars Coach Duggs has been illegally tossing him under the table throughout this season.

TTU was in the driver's seat for the majority of this game, and the only true drama came during the last play of the game. Coach Duggs had a chance to make a 53-yard field goal to unleash the 50 burger, but it wasn't meant to be. But, a win is a win.

One more big takeaway from tonight. Pardon my Big J language, but holy shit did Coach Duggs do NUMBERS tonight on the stream.

Just incredible to see. The teams, athletes, and fans buying in take this experience to the next level.

Season V of the Coach Duggs era starts TOMORROW night vs... UCLA. Yes, that UCLA team that ended the National Championship hopes of each of the last two Coach Duggerton-led teams. Tune in here:
