The Falcons Keep Trying to Tweet About Super Bowl LI Like It's Funny and I'm Mad Online About It

Everybody remembers what happened to the Falcons in Super Bowl LI. I don't think I really need to do a deep dive on the events of that football game. But recently, the Falcons' social media team has apparently taken an acute interest in that nearly impossible loss and thinks it's funny to make fun of their own fans about it.

This was last week:

And then today, they pulled out this knee-slapper:

I have said until I'm blue in the face that other people trying to make fun of the Falcons losing the Super Bowl — "Hey, did you know the Falcons blew a 28-3 lead?! Haha isn't it so funny that I said that?" — doesn't bother me at all, and it really doesn't. But there is something about the team trying to turn it into some sort of inside joke that they're in on has me royally pissed off.

You are the absolute last people on Earth who should be making any sort of comment on that football game. You let other people post their dumbass memes and you stay out of it. I hope whoever posted those tweets understands what he or she is doing is only making fun of the people who literally pay his or her salary.

Only an Atlanta team would so be so blissfully unaware as to needle its own fans about one of the worst moments of their lives, but such is life. Whatever. I'm mad online.
