Yes, There Are Many Divisions With Better Quarterbacks Than the AFC North

Y'all can go check out that whole thing if you want to. The actual article doesn't really delve into the assertion made in the tweet — it's really just a division breakdown centered around the quarterbacks — but I will. We're honestly going to sit here and say the AFC North has the best quarterbacks in the NFL?

Not only is the AFC North not at the top, I'm not even really sure how far down the list it is. So let's take a quick peek.

Very clearly atop the list is the NFC South. I don't really understand how anyone could argue against the division which has Tom Brady, Drew Brees and Matt Ryan — alongside Teddy Bridgewater — being the best in the league, seeing as two of those guys have won NFL MVP awards and all three have won Super Bowls — Ryan's team was winning when he left the field and he never got to touch the ball again; he won. Bridgewater brings down the mean a little bit, but there is no other division in football with three guys under center as talented as the NFC South.

Next, I'd probably go NFC West, with its collection of Russell Wilson, Jimmy Garoppolo, Jared Goff and Kyler Murray. And I would also list the NFC North and AFC West before I got back around to the supposedly best quarterbacked division in the NFL in the AFC North. Hell, if we're letting guys who haven't taken a snap as a starter count, let's throw the AFC East in there. Who's to say Tua Tagovailoa and Jarrett Stidham don't light it up and end up having better careers than Joe Burrow?

Lamar Jackson is great. But outside of him, what have we really seen from Baker Mayfield to put him even close to that level? Ben Roethlisberger hasn't played a game in what feels like five years. And we have no idea what Burrow is going to be in the NFL. He was the No. 1 pick after having one spectacular season on a team loaded with talent.

In two seasons, the AFC North definitely has the potential to be right up there as one of the best divisions in the league for quarterback play if Mayfield figures it out and Burrow plays like the player Cincinnati expects him to. But until then, you can't tell me those quarterbacks are carrying the torch as the best division in the League.
