'How In The Fuck Could You Commit To Kentucky? It's Bullshit. I'm Telling You, You Have A Fucking Offer' - Tom Izzo's First Call To Draymond After He Decommited From UK

(Story starts around the 22 minute mark)

[Source] - "How in the fuck could you commit to Kentucky, it's bullshit," Green said Izzo said, explaining the raw feel of their relationship dates back to this point.

"You ain't fucking offer me," Green said, as the two were now in a screaming match.

"Well, you didn't have a fucking offer, but now I'm telling you you have a fucking offer," Izzo said, according to Green.

Now do I really like Izzo or Draymond? Sure don't. Do I wish Draymond stayed at Kentucky after Tubby left? Sure do, although not sure how that would have worked with Patrick Patterson's recruitment. Draymond being there though for a few years would have been awesome though, because Draymond was a hell of a college hoops player.

That said, I love this story. Why? Because it shows how honest everyone is when it comes to things like this. Draymond wanted to go to Michigan State originally, Izzo and Michigan State weren't sold on him yet. So he went to Kentucky on a recruiting trip and fell in love with the place (can't blame him). He committed on the spot, hiding it from his mom. Bold strategy that actually worked out after she went and visited Kentucky and fell in love with it (can't blame her).

But what a back and forth from Izzo and Draymond. Izzo of course was pissed he committed to Kentucky, because coaches hate not having fallback options and only want to care about themselves. He wanted to see Draymond figure shit out, get his roster organized and still have him waiting.

Also, let's be honest. There's ZERO shock that Draymond felt more at home with Michigan State after nearly having guys try to fight him during scrimmages and talking shit than Michigan who just stayed quiet. Draymond loves talking shit and nearly fighting on the court. To think he almost went to Michigan too.

I don't care if it's Tom Izzo - Draymond should have turned him down for calling him at 7am. What high schooler is awake at 7am unless it's a school day.
