The Volcano That Erupted Yesterday Made A Cameo In ONCE UPON A TIME...IN HOLLYWOOD

There's not much crazier and scarier that Ma Nature can throw at you quite like shooting a hot lava load through a mountaintop and all over the surrounding area, incinerating everything it touches. 

These Tweets and many more videos filled social media all through the night. But there was something familiar about the name...KRAKATOA. Then it hit me. 

The movie KRAKATOA: EAST OF JAVA was playing at the iconic Cinerama Dome on August 8, 1969 in Quentin Tarantino's latest masterpiece, ONCE UPON A TIME...IN HOLLYWOOD. And yes, it's a real film.

Even better? It's currently available on Prime if you want to get really meta on some life-imitating-art-imitating life shit. I have yet to see it so I can't vouch for it. But there's definitely worse ways to spend an hour and forty-six minutes these days. And it was Oscar-nominated for Best Effects, Special Visual Effects!
