The Cincinnati Man Who Had A Beer Only Diet For Lent Last Year Is #BACK - This Time Doing It For 50 Days To Break A World Record That Doesn't Exist

[Source] - Last year, the 44-year-old Army veteran and sales director of Fifty West Brewing Co. lost 44 pounds in 46 days while only drinking beer. This year, he's aiming for 50 days, adding an additional four days to his fast.

Why 50 days? Hall said he's going for the "all-time world record," even if Guinness Book of World Records won't count it.

I fucking love this guy. He made national news last year when he only drank beer for all of Lent. Not only that but he claimed he was healthier than ever because of that.

Now Lent is here and he's #BACK. Actually, he's better than ever. Because he's not just doing 40 days and nights. No, no. 40 days and nights are just for us casual Catholics. He decided to make Lent 50 days to break a world record that doesn't even exist. The Guinness Book of World Records won't count it, which may make this whole thing even better.

Also, I don't care if it makes me a bad Catholic, when I hear Lent and 40 days and 40 nights, I just think of the movie - and this gif in particular:

But now I'm just starting to think of beer diets when Lent hits. Remember he lost 41.5 pounds last year during Lent doing this diet, so yeah, summer body on deck for your boy. But really this is about breaking world records that don't exist. It's going to be my new favorite bit going forward. Might break a blogging world record over Lent, Guinness just won't acknowledge it.
