Jessica Mendoza Has Resigned As An Adviser To The Mets And Will No Longer Be On Sunday Night Baseball

Cuncel da Mendoza! Once it became clear that the Astros scandal was real, we have seen people involved get picked off one by one like the Layla scene in Goodfellas. AJ Hinch, Jeff Lunhow, Alex Cora, and Carlos Beltran all ended up losing their jobs to varying degrees of grave dancing by opposing fanbases.

But Jessica Mendoza losing her job with the Mets AND on Sunday Night Baseball because some trash cans got banged on is something even people equipped with a galaxy brain couldn't have seen coming. But I don't think anybody is shocked Mendoza's glaring conflict of interests got dealt with after this full-blown fiasco.

You hear that? I think it's the sound of fans of all 30 teams dancing about the Sunday Night Baseball news. A+ spinzone by ESPN though by hiding a demotion from broadcasting the biggest game of the week to broadcasting the game everyone watches on Gamecast at work by calling it an extension.

And of course no Mets PR hiccup would be complete without a Photoshop statement!

I personally don't care about this side of things much as a Mets fan since I'm pretty sure Jeff Wilpon does whatever he wants no matter what any adviser on the Mets says. However if ESPN wants my 2 cents, I say they should get weird and throw Booger McFarland on Sunday Night Baseball in Mendoza's old spot. Actually fuck it, the Mets should throw Booger in Mendoza's old adviser role too since nothing's changing as long as the Wilpons are in charge just so the world can burn faster.
