The Coronavirus Conspiracy Blog

Hi. Have you heard what's going on in China? It's straight out of Black Mirror. Malls are checking their employees before they are allowed to go into work:

Donny blogged about it this morning and gave a pretty good overview of the whole situation:

The virus supposedly came via bats. Yes, bats. How did it get to humans? Apparently tainted bat meat was served to individuals in an "unregulated" meat market. The virus started in Wuhan, China, which is located pretty much in the middle of Hong Kong and Beijing.

What gets the conspiracy senses tingling is a certain lab was started in Wuhan not too long ago. This screenshot comes via a Reddit post:

Here is a link to that said article so we know it is real and not photoshopped

We all know that China has been struggling with an "overpopulation" issue as the "one-child policy" is widely known (the rule was relaxed a bit in 2013, but still exists).

The lab I mentioned above was described as a "maximum-security biolab." Now, it's reported that the only lab that can study the Coronavirus:

Of course, as you know, this lab is centered in the same exact place that the coronavirus broke out. Quite the coincidence.

This isn't the first time that such a thing has happened in China. As recent as 2014, a similar situation occurred:

From the WHO:

It has been more than three weeks since the last case was placed in isolation in China’s latest SARS outbreak, prompting the World Health Organization to declare that the chain of human-to-human transmission appears to have been broken.

However, WHO experts and the Chinese authorities are still trying to determine the exact cause of the outbreak. The investigation has centred primarily on the National Institute of Virology in Beijing where experiments using live and inactivated SARS coronavirus have been carried out. Two researchers at the Institute developed SARS in late March and mid-April. The outbreak was reported on April 22 and the Institute was closed a day later.

Translation: A SARS outbreak in 2014 in Beijing was contained, but the WHO was concerned on how the virus started. Their investigation focused on a national lab in Beijing.

Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Two more cities are being quarantined:

Maybe it's just a coincidence. I don't believe in those, but in this situation? Who knows. Hopefully, you don't have a trip planned to China anytime soon.
