BREAKING: The Boston Bruins Have Blown A 3 Goal Lead And Lost (AGAIN)

Stop me if you've heard this before, but the Boston Bruins blew a 3 goal lead and lost once again, this time to the Pittsburgh Penguins. Karma is real because I tweeted (the above) yesterday after Frankie Borrelli's Islanders did the same to the Capitals and what do you know. To be fair, this isn't new for the 2019-2020 Boston Bruins. Their fucking allergic to 3 goal leads.

It took just 11 seconds into the game for Patrice Bergeron to make it 1-0 Bruins.

Anders Bjork followed up Bergeron's goal with a snipe of his own. Nice feed from Charlie Coyle. 2-0 Bruins early in the 1st.

David Pastrnak's 37th goal of the season made it 3-0 Bruins. Thanks Jack Johnson.

Sidney Crosby set up Dominik Simon to get the Penguins on the board with 3:26 to go in the 1st. 3-1.

33 seconds into the 2nd period Teddy Blueger cut the Bruins lead to 1. 3-2.

Looks like Marchand found his hands.

Jack Johnson scored on a clapper shorthanded early in the 3rd to tie the game. 3-3.

Charlie McAvoy coughed up the puck behind the net and Bryan Rust gave the Penguins their first lead of the game. 4-3.

FINAL: Pittsburgh 4, Boston 3

News, notes and quotes:

- The Bruins are fucking allergic to 3 goal leads. They hate them, they despise them. I honestly have no words left for why this happens. B's just can't finish out games. I don't know how you get guys to play a full 60. It's happened way too many fucking times this season.

That's it. That's all I've got. It's fucking inexcusable for this to keep happening. It's gonna bite them in the ass once the Leafs and Lightning start to creep closer to them in the Atlantic Division.

One last game on Tuesday against the Vegas Golden Knights before the break. Gonna type up something this week on this team at the break and how they look going into the 2nd half of the season. But right now? Holy shit. Just frustrating.

Bring me Toffoli.
