Jeopardy GOAT Tournament Game 3 Recap Superblog: Big Balls Ken Has Arrived

Even as a diehard Big Brain James fan, there is really no way to describe Game 3 of the Jeopardy GOAT Tournament other than Ken Jennings morphing into Big Balls Ken right before our very eyes. James' giant brain and balls have changed Jeopardy as we know it by forcing people to go all-in on Daily Doubles if they want to have a chance to beat James.

Ken knew that and him going all in on his Daily Double combined with that egghead Brad snagging the other Daily Doubles kept James at bay.

Sure it almost killed Ken.

But what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger, right? Iron sharpens iron and Ken has gone from happy-go-lucky brainiac that couldn't touch Brad in tournament play to natural born trivia killer simply by playing like James. Does that mean James has made Ken a better contestant, man, and maybe even lover? That's not for me to say. But there is no denying Ken won Game 1 by going all-in to combat The Bad Man To The Left and smashed Game 3 wide open by putting all his chips and his dick in the middle of the table.

Then doing the same exact thing in Final Jeopardy.

As a member of Big Brain Nation, I had to tip my cap to Ken for dropping his own brain while also wondering if James could answer in Round 2.

What happened next was straight out of the final scene of Rogue One. James went full Robot Mode on his opponents struck back with a 5000-0-0 run to open things up.

However, it all fell apart once James found a Daily Double, went all-in, and got cute.

Presto Change-o, James? PRESTO CHANGE-O?!? I know hypothetically the question was already queued up and James wouldn't have gotten it right. But you can't change your signature move before the biggest moment of the tournament. Once James got that Daily Double wrong, his brain entered Safe Mode, knowing that Game 3 was essentially Ken's since Brainless Brad would inevitably snag the other Daily Double. Which he did. However, the bigger story was what happened after Brad snagged said Daily Double.

Hmmmmmmmm. A "You're welcome", a pat on the back, and a nervous laugh after realizing you just spilled the beans in front of cameras as well as a live studio audience huh? I knew the Jeopardy producers would probably Stern things up and rig the board to keep the Daily Doubles away from James in order to keep this ratings bonanza tournament running for as long as possible. What I didn't see were two of the contestants actually teaming up against the third. But as every Royal Rumble has told us, the big dog in the fight always gets teamed up by the smaller guys.

Anyway, the rest of the round was pretty uneventful since James hit the Off button on his brain. Brad was actually able to qualify for Final Jeopardy, Ken squatted on his lead, and we headed to Final Jeopardy where the winner of the night was crowned.

Brad answered by proverbial sucking his partner in crime's dick while also shouting out a Super Bowl champion that would jettison the quarterback that fearlessly led them over the greatest dynasty we will ever see.

If I were Ken, I would sleep with one eye open because something tells me loyalty isn't Philly Brad's strong suit.

Ken answered the question seriously, got it wrong, and looked at Trebek like someone dreaming of sitting on Alex's trivia throne.

I've seen that look before...

Meanwhile, my guy James took the reprieve from a competitive game to answer with his heart for once instead of his brain.

Look, I know the whole point of this tournament is to win as many points as possible, take home a cool million dollars, and be crowned the GOAT of Jeopardy. But as a Barstool legend has said multiple times, some things are bigger than sports. And I would say shouting out the true Jeopardy GOAT Alex Trebek while also zinging that also-ran Pat Sajak trumps anything else that happened on that stage last night. Ken won the game, but James won the night. I'm not saying that as a James fan but instead as a Trebek fan. If you don't agree with that, you hate Alex Trebek, which means I hate you.

Once the dust settled and everyone stopped crying from such a touching gesture by James and , Ken emerged with a 2-1-0 lead. But once again, James was the true winner on the internet with some incredible self-deprecating humor.

As well as some more fantastic memes.

Even if Ken wins, that technically means James won anyway. #spinzone

Thankfully the good people at Jeopardy didn't schedule a game for tonight because some people actually have lives and do stuff on Friday. I mean Jeopardy diehards like me don't. But I know other people do. Instead, I am welcoming a few nights off to recharge mentally after what has been three nights of incredible playoff level intensity that if nothing else, got us to the best weekend of the NFL season as quickly as possible.

There is no game on Monday either because The Bachelor just started and some iteration of it will be on for roughly the next 1000 weeks. Which means...

See You Next Tuesday, Ken. See You Next Tuesday, Brad.
