The Story Of Kobe Calling The Lakers 'Charmin Soft,' Saying Jeremy Lin Had No Right To Be Playing And Getting Into It With Nick Young ... Or, In Other Words, A Regular Practice For Kobe

I am not a Kobe fan in any way, shape or form. I couldn't stand the guy unless he was playing the Celtics. Fucking hated the Lakers, the whole 9. That said, I'm obsessed with Kobe stories because they always seem so outrageous until you remember who we're talking about here. The dude had an obsession with winning and being like Michael Jordan, he didn't care. I can have some respect for a dude that has that crazy obsession with winning.

This just feels like a regular Tuesday for Kobe though. Go into practice, look around and see the squad you have without Shaq/Pau Gasol and realize that you're in trouble. So what do you do? You immediately call them Charmin Soft and rip into Jeremy Lin specifically. I'll tell you what, after this summer and Jeremy Lin crying and whining about not getting a fair shot in free agency, that dude is Charmin Soft, so I'm on Kobe's side here.

I do think the real star here is Nick Young. For as crazy Kobe was when it came to winning, Nick Young was just crazy. I can listen to him tell stories for days, because they are always phenomenal. This man decided to take the words of Gilbert Arenas and go at Kobe. That alone is worth the price of admission. Nick Young telling him no one on the planet can guard him is A+ content, Kobe coming back over the top saying he's lucky he's not from this planet makes even better. I would have done anything to be at this practice and watch Nick Young and Kobe go at it while Jeremy Lin sulked.
