Western Kentucky QB Ty Storey May Have The Story Of The Year In College Football

Ty Storey was recruited to Arkansas when Bret Bielema was still in Fayetteville. He was a 4-star QB that stayed in his home state to play for the Hogs. It was a big get for Arkansas. Storey was a top-10 pro QB nationally and the third-best player in the state for the class of 2015 according to 247Sports.

In 2018, Storey started 9 games. He threw 11 TDs and 10 INTs. After the 2018 season, Chad Morris informed Storey he'd be going in a different direction at QB. Morris brought in his former QB at SMU, Ben Hicks, and Justin Bieber fan Nick Starkel.

Storey saw the writing on the wall and transferred to Western Kentucky. This past Saturday he strolled into Fayetteville with his fellow Hilltoppers to play the Hogs in a perfect revenge spot. He threw for 213 yards and a TD while running for another 2 TDs. Western Kentucky beat Arkansas 45-19. I'm not a college football historian, but that may be the biggest margin of a win for a CUSA team against an SEC squad.

Saturday was Chad Morris' 18th loss at Arkansas, his 8th of the 2019 season. His QBs that were apparently better than Ty Storey have thrown a combined 11 TDs and 15 INTs.

A day after Chad Morris lost to the QB he thought wasn't good enough to play SEC ball, he was fired.

And then Ty Storey went in for the kill shot:

“Cause I told them that we put that behind us, but I lied”

Sports are awesome.
