The Sixers Are Already The Most Dominant Team In The NBA This Year...On Social Media

Guangzhou Long Lions v Philadelphia 76ers

I’ve been trying to go back to figure out when the first time Ben Simmons tweeted out the “steam from nose” triumphant emoji was. The furthest back I could find was on January 15, 2019. It was right before the Minnesota Timberwolves game. Ben put up 20 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists. The Sixers won that game 149 -107. It was a complete and total domination. So ever since then, Ben has tweeted out the emoji on game days to let everyone know that complete and total domination is in store for that night.

So heading into the season opener tonight, Ben got things going this morning.

But this is a team sport. There are 5 guys out there on the floor. So since this is a unit and it’s not just Ben Simmons out there, the rest of the squad decided to get involved. First up was Tobias Harris.

After that we had Josh Richardson making his Sixers Twitter debut.

After that we had the big fella chime in.

Then Mike Scott may have jumped the gun a little bit since he’s coming off the bench but ya know what? Mike Scott deserves to be the 5 here in this thread because the man earned that spot. He ain’t no bitch and that’s a certified fact.

As of right now, we’re still waiting on Al Horford to chime in. But considering he seems like he might need to ask some of his younger teammates how to access the emoji keyboard, I understand why it’s taking him so long. At this point he might just have to pull a Paul Pierce and go with a full image.

Either way, will all of this Twitter domination transition onto the floor into basketball domination? Without a doubt. Because what I see here is a team that has totally bought in to one another. They are a cohesive unit. They are united together in this fight. When you have a group as tight as that and also have that much talent? Look out, bitches. There’s nothing you can do to stop that energy.

UPDATE: He did the tweet! He did the tweet!

Let’s goooooooo. Love you with all my heart, Al.
