Georgia Sports Just Capped Off One Of The Worst Weeks I’ve Ever Seen

Last weekend we talked about how there’s nothing worse than being a Minnesota sports fan. And that remains true, but holy shit does this week Atlanta put on display go toe to toe with the juggernauts of the ineptitude world. Falcons allowing the Texans to hang a 50 burger on them is the best loss up there. Trailing the Cardinals for the entire game only to seal your own grave with a missed extra point is a much worse punch to the throat. And while that loss would be bad enough for most fan bases for an entire year, it wasn’t the worst in Georgia during the last 36 hours.

Georgia cannot lose to South Carolina. They just can’t. I mean, they did, but they can’t. That loss alone lower Jake Fromm’s draft stock by several rounds. The #3 team in the nation was waiting to choke, they just usually wait a little longer in the season to do it. They heard the rest of the state was getting their loss on and decided to throw their hat square in the center of the ring.

And the Braves. Ahh the Braves. Luckily for the Braves they have a young, solid core and will be in the playoffs for YEARS to come. Certainly they will capitalize on that and rack up 3, probably 4 Commissioners Trophies over the course of this core’s life. Knowing the Braves history of roster building and maintaining I can’t see what could possibly stop them from achieving such dominance. This loss to the Cardinals was merely a speed bump, a character builder, something strong to start off next year’s Championship DVD with. No need to fret there, Atlanta. Everywhere else? Oh you should have been fretting for some time now. Don’t let me tell you your business.
