I Believe The Real Reason Gruden Will Be Fired Is His Refusal To Start Dwayne Haskins Because Dan Snyder Still Makes Decisions To Undermine The Coaching Staff
The writing is on the wall for Jay Gruden. Even if he somehow makes it to the end of the season, he isn’t coming back next season. That’s pretty much a certainty. But here’s the thing about the current Skins situation- Gruden will not start Haskins, and for good reason. The Oline is very weak right now and Haskins just isn’t ready to assume the starting role. He believes, and correctly so, that Keenum is the best QB for the job right now. But of course, that doesn’t sit well with ol’ Danny boy Snyder. It seems to me if Gruden won’t start Haskins, Snyder will fire him but only if the new coach will start Haskins. This is why we will never be a winning franchise.
If Gruden absolutely refuses to start Dwayne Haskins despite Dan Snyder demanding it, I think that will be the reason he is fired. Dan ultimately will be the decision maker. It makes no difference that he pays coaches to make football decisions, if Dan Snyder wants something you either do it or get fired. Plus it’s awfully hard to sell Haskins jerseys when he’s on the bench, ya know?
Daniel Snyder created and cultivated this “Mean Girls” culture where the front office lies, manipulates, leaks and creates rumors for their own egos and agenda. It’s why it makes no difference who the next coach will be, Snyder will systematically continue to ruin the franchise from the top down. All we can do is hope he sell the team.
