A 54 Year Old Dude Thinks He Found His "Friend's Niece" On Instagram So He Slides Into Her DM's To Say Hi - Turns Out She's Just A Random 27 Year Old Rocket IG Model And Now They're Getting Married

NY POST – He’s twice her age — and a millionaire — but don’t call him a “sugar daddy.”

When Ohio entrepreneur Robert Croak, 54, first clicked on Instragram influencer Sophia Spallino, 27, he thought she was a friend’s niece. But after realizing his mistake, and sliding into her DMs, he got turned on by her ambition — and set out to win her heart.

Fast-forward 10 months and the couple intend to wed, start a family and encourage other couples to “live out loud.” While it might seem like a social-media stunt, Spallino, of Louisiana, assures skeptics that their “Insta-connection” is for real.

I’ll be honest when I first read this I thought it said HIS niece, not his friend’s niece.  Was kind of wondering why nobody was pointing out how insanely creepy that was.  Nope, no blood relation.  It does still raise a bit of a philosophical question –  is it kind of weird to be sliding into the DM’s of your friend’s Instagram Model niece to tell her you “love her work” in the first place?

… Croak sent a direct message in November complimenting Spallino’s “efforts as a budding influencer.” This sparked a “mutual passion for entrepreneurship . . . that quickly blossomed into a romance,” says Spallino.

I’d think so.  I mean Sophia wasn’t bothered by it so that’s really all that matters.  I just thought it was a little strange that everyone seemed to think that was totally normal, and not at all a lie.  That his intentions were strictly friendly and professional.  Let’s just say I don’t think you DM a smoking hot IG model because you “have a passion for entrepreneurship and want to compliment her efforts as a budding influencer.”

Just be honest buddy, you wanted to fuck your friend’s niece.  He’s cool with it, you can admit it.

“My long-time friend happens to share the same name as Sophia’s father and also has a niece that shares Sophia’s name,” Croak says. “When I came across an Instagram profile of an Italian girl named Sophia Spallino, I screenshot it and texted it to my friend asking if this was his niece all grown up. He replied, ‘No, but she’s pretty hot.’ ”

But whatever the case may be, the fact is, he nailed it.  He took advantage and he locked it down.

She says she immediately felt safe when he picked her up at the airport for their first dinner date. Croak leaned over the table before and asked if he could hold her hands, saying, “We are finally here with each other, and the nerves are gone.”

“Later that evening, he asked if he could kiss me and I remember closing my eyes, taking in the moment and he said, ‘Give me your eyes,’ ” Spallino says.

Of course, this dude Croak is a multi-millionaire for being the founder of the company that invented Silly Bandz, those stupid bracelets that partnered with Justin Bieber – to quote Kanye West, “now I ain’t sayin’ she a gold digger,” I’m just saying it’s possible that he doesn’t just happen to have the best IG DM game in human history.

But what do I know, I’m just a blogger talking about the relationship of two people I’ve never met.  Who cares what I think.  Like Sophia said in this quote she invented (proven by the @sophiaspallino watermark):

So congrats to the happy couple.  Fellas, I don’t care how cliche it is – shoot your shot, no matter how far away the basket is.  You see a rocket bikini model 30 years younger than you related to your buddy, go for it.  Remember, it’s only a cliche because it’s so true.
