Cam Newton Says He Has The Best Hands In The NFL, Sets World Record For Most One Handed Catches In 60 Seconds
Source – The Carolina Panthers’ regular season starts on Sunday, but quarterback Cam Newton is still finding time to have fun — the kind of fun that earns you a spot in the record books.
Newton’s Guinness world record feat? In the span of 60 seconds, he caught 51 passes one-handed, beating the previous record of 48. He set the record back in July, but he didn’t do it alone. Candler Hallow, a member of YouTube star MrBeast’s crew, fed him those passes. And with a YouTuber involved, of course the whole thing was caught on video for endless future enjoyment.
After Newton set the record and received the commemorative plaque (which he said he’d be putting up in his house), he praised Hollow for his invaluable help.
*Warning: This is going to be obnoxious.
Imagine if Tom Brady did this? He couldn’t, obviously, but imagine if he tried to? People would lose their minds. There would be articles about how he’s losing focus, it’s the beginning of the end blah, blah, blah. Obviously, that would never happen under a Belichick regime, so we have nothing to worry about, but it’s still wild to think about. Videos like these really give you an appreciation for what it means to be a Patriots fan. No funny business, no Guinness Book of World Records, just focused on the task at hand 24/7/365. It’s not for everyone, but it is for winners. Enjoy your plaque, Cam. We’re going for another one of these.
PS: Cool video though.
