Good Morning From B-E-A-uuuutiful Las Vegas
What a city, man. What a city.
As you may know, I busted out of the Main Event of the WSOP mid-afternoon yesterday. A shitty feeling, for sure. Playing in it is the thing I look forward to the most every year, so losing and not even cashing in it is frustrating, but that’s poker for ya. We’ve talked to a ton of pros on the podcast and even more in real life and some of them are like “yeah I went my first 7 Mains without cashing” or “I didn’t make Day 2 for my first 4″, things like that. It’s a land mine of a tournament, and you gotta bob and weave, and unfortunately my A9 ran into A8 and that was all she wrote.
But lemme tell ya, I’m so grateful for the opportunity and grateful to PlayMGMPoker and Barstool for making this happen. While out here I:

And became best friends with my friend Smitty
I’d prefer to still be in the tournament, of course, but that just wasn’t meant to be. I’m thankful people are following Cracking Aces and getting interested in the game of poker, and find it a bit ridiculous they won’t put me on a TV table.
I can’t imagine having the Barstool audience, the demographic you CRAVE, chomping at the bit to watch poker, and then not taking advantage of it. Drives me insane. But I think we’ll get there. I’ll keep working hard and we’ll get there. First golf rejected ForePlay and now look at them. Just takes time and work. Breaking the mold is never easy, but I think we’re getting close.
So now what? Well I’m still in Vegas…and….
I can’t leave now. There’s still WSOP events to play! It just wouldn’t be right for me to leave during the most important time of the year. Plus I think I have a podcast set up with another huge name. HUGE name. I mean we’ve already had on almost all the big names- Negreanu, Moneymaker, Merson, and Maria just to name a few, and still collecting more. So be on the look out for those.
As for today, $1,111 Little One For One Drop. It’s a $1,000 tournament that raises money for the One Drop charity, which helps get clean drinking water to impoverished nations. I can’t leave Vegas when there are charities that need my money. So that will be the final thing I play. If I bust I’ll leave Vegas knowing I did the best I could, but hopefully I make day 2 and extend my trip even further.
Honestly, Barstool needs a Vegas office. Everything is happening out there. Sports betting, MMA/boxing, NHL and NFL, they’re probably about to get an MLB team within the next 5 years, and the NBA likely won’t be far behind. And of course, lil’ ol poker. Imagine Marty Mush living in Vegas? He’d be one of the mole people within 3 weeks, it’d be electric.
