Let’s go Perk!! First of all, I didn’t watch this segment so I had no clue what Nick Wright said when I saw these tweets. I imagined it was anti Celtics since that’s sort of his thing. Thankfully the clip made it up onto social media so we can all see for ourselves.

Yup, pretty much what I thought. My favorite parts were when he said 20 3PM wasn’t an outlier despite the fact that it had never happened in their franchise’s postseason history, or when he said in this series MIL has been nothing but up despite losing by 20+ at home in Game 1. But that’s not the point of this blog, Nick Wright is gonna do Nick Wright things regardless. The point of this blog is I would like it on record that this is my formal request to be part of Perk’s Big 3. I don’t even care if that’s in bad taste, I need in on this thing. Not just for the food, although it would be nice to actually try a 5 star restaurant once in my life (not counting NERB), but I need to be there just so I can ask Perk a billion questions about his Celtics tenure and listen to his incredible southern twang ramble for hours. Given what he already told us about KG’s postgame meal rules, I know that’s just the tip of the iceberg and I will do anything in my power to make this happen. Basically that means tweet about it and write this blog but still, I need in.

First, I would like to thank Paul Pierce for being the Larry Bird of my generation and my all time favorite Celtic. Then I would like to thank KG for changing his mind and allowing the trade to Boston to happen, which resulted in the only championship my eyes have ever witnessed. I also wouldn’t hate if we gave Scal/Rondo the heads up as to where we were going and they could just sit at the table next to us or something like that. Basically I need a 2008 reunion on Nick Wright’s dime is what I’m getting at here.
