The Greatest Weekend In Entertainment History Is Upon Us!!!

LETS.

FUCKING.

GO.

Congratulations to everyone reading this blog for doing #WhateverItTakes to survive until today so they can enjoy the next 72 hours or so of chaos. I know the weekend technically doesn’t start until Friday night, but if you are going to be able to get any type of work or school work done tomorrow, God bless you.

I blogged about this weekend potentially being the greatest entertainment weekend ever back in December when we knew that the NFL Draft, Endgame and Game of Thrones would all take place the same weekend. What we didn’t know at the time was when Thrones would premiere and which episode would be that Sunday.

Well it turns out that outside of maybe the premiere and definitely finale, the Battle of Winterfell is the most hyped episode of the entire series. I think we can all agree that Sunday is going to be a fucking bloodbath. Between multiple secondary characters’ story arcs wrapping up, the song that my sweet Pod sang, and the army of a bazillion zombies along with the White Walkers, we are going to have some craziness unleashed on our asses. Obviously half the universe was wiped out at the end of Infinity War and we don’t know what type of comebacks or deaths are coming in Endgame. Those two enormous events are literally years in the making that will likely create a very big, very fresh wound in our soul as we watch people die. I mean I was just throwing around some theories I had for what my happen in the Battle of Winterfell while recording Game of Stools today and I cause Ellie to cry at the mere thought of what may happen not once, not twice, but thrice.

And then we have the NFL Draft.

Some people see the NFL Draft as almost Spring for the football season, each team having life breathed into it thanks to a bunch of super-athletic 20-something kids on cap friendly deals. However as a Giants fan living during the Dave Gettleman era, I don’t know what the fuck to expect tonight. Thanos and The Night King ain’t got shit on Davey Quoteviews. Between the way he telegraphed the Saquon pick last year and never truly closed the door on an Odell Beckham trade with his vague ass “We didn’t sign Odell to trade him” rhetoric, I am dealing with a complete wildcard at GM.

I’ve had the Giants linked to not only the best pass rushers of this draft along with Kyler Murray and Dwayne Haskins. But now there are whispers that Daniel Jones could go that high. It’s fucking chaos. And not in the chaos is a ladder type of sense but more of a chaos is a ladder with a noose. Again, I realize that most of what we have heard the last week/month/half a year since the Giants season unofficially ended in October is pre-draft smokescreens. But it’s crazy that these three incredible events (along with Barstool At Talladega, potentially a Game 7 in the Nuggets/Spurs series and mayyyybe but almost definitely not in the Clippers/Warriors series, NHL playoffs, and Big Brain James potentially answering every question correctly and winning infinity plus infinity dollars) has this weekend setting up as the greatest weekend in entertainment history.

Also to the Stoolie that told me him and his friends are going to Endgame at 5, driving home, and then going straight into the Battle of Winterfell all I can say is I hope you don’t die on what is definitely going to be an absolute emotional and adrenaline rollercoaster from hell.
