The Trevor Ariza Trade Officially Falls Apart In Hysterical Fashion

Phoenix Suns v Memphis Grizzlies

You can’t make this shit up. What a complete disaster by everyone involved here. First of all, come on Woj, clean it up buddy. We’re all on the edge of our seats with every single tweet you put out, I cant be having you flip flop which Brooks is which every damn tweet. This is already hard enough to follow, so let me make sure I have this correct. Phoenix, Memphis, and Washington call each other up and try to pull off a three team deal. Phoenix is poised to get the point guard they need and a versatile wing, the Grizzlies get shooting, and the Wizards get draft picks. One problem, it’s not Dillon Brooks but instead MarShon Brooks. Minor detail. The question now becomes who is lying. Someone’s ass is firmly in the jackpot because either the Suns GM misheard or his owner caught wind of what he accepted and he had to save face and say he really thought he was getting the better Brooks. That has to be what happened here. I think the Grizzlies would know which Brooks they put on the table, and it’s not all that surprising that the disaster that is the Suns would be the ones that fucked this up.

It’s even better that it was apparently the Suns that said Dillion at the last second. Those sneaky little bastards trying to push this trade through. Strong chance Robert Sarver had no idea what was going on and figured it included the better player.

So now the deal is dead, which is pretty predictable. Imagine what it’s going to be like in the Washington and Memphis locker rooms now. This means nothing to Ariza, he knows he’s about to be traded somewhere, but for everyone else involved that’s going to be pretty damn awkward. How does Kelly Oubre Jr walk into that locker room? Where are the Suns going to get their guard now? The fact that this whole thing fell apart because one team didn’t hear or understand the player that was actually being traded is so outrageous it sounds scripted. But it’s real. That’s what really happened.

This league man.
