Le'Veon Bell Went On Instagram To Give His 2 Cents On The Earl Thomas Injury, Says He Will Continue To Be The "Bad Guy" For All NFL Players

Talk that shit Lev Bell! Talk that shit! While Earl Thomas was flipping off the entire Seahawks organization yesterday, I imagine Le’Veon Bell was doing the same thing from wherever he was watching football, which was probably somewhere awesome in Miami straight out of Ballers and definitely did not involve athletic superfreaks trying to break him in half 30+ times on the Lord’s day.

As soon as I saw Earl Thomas get hurt, I thought about how that injury pretty much the exact reason Le’Veon is holding out. I guess Earl and Le’Veon could also give the finger to the player’s union for consistently getting their dicks kicked in during every CBA negotiation and agreeing to the rules of the franchise tag in the first place and taking away Bell’s negotiating leverage. Yeah the Steelers offered him a huge contract that he turned down. However if Le’Veon was a true free agent on the open market, those numbers likely would have been a jusssst a smidge higher.

But for now, I guess lighting people up on social media will have to be enough, which is fine with me because I love Le’Veon Bell keeping it as real as possible. And it’s not like Earl Thomas was taking the franchise tag laying down. He was doing a “hold in” which meant he was on the roster, getting his checks, but not practicing. Then all he did last week was snag 2 interceptions against the Cowboys during the Seahawks win. But as yesterday proved, there is a real downside to playing on Sundays as a Franchise Player without a longterm deal in place and sometimes you gotta go Operation Shutdown (shout out Derek Bell). Unless the Seahawks are going to give Thomas the contract he wanted for being “team first”. Hahahahhaa just kidding, that’s not gonna happen.

I know the Seahawks and Steelers are well within their right to tag their players and the players are well within their right to wait until Week 11 to come back, which may be once the team is erased for the playoff picture. That’s just how the cookie crumbles. The bottom line is the NFLPA just needs to hire whoever runs the MLBPA because those guys don’t fuck around. Middle relievers make more money than some NFL stars and those contracts are fully guaranteed in a non-contact sport while the NFL players are involved in car accident-level hits every week in the biggest sports league in the country where a good chunk of the money is non-guaranteed. True bananaland stuff.

Also for what it’s worth, even though Le’Veon is one of my fantasy keepers (nobody cares), I fully stand behind him in his holdout despite him indirectly being the cause for me starting the season 0-2. Credit to me for caring more about Le’Veon Bell the person than Le’Veon Bell the player. I still love them both though and would really love if he started playing pro football again soon, no matter what team it’s for. Hopefully people don’t forget the Pro Le’Veon fantasy owners during this turbulent time. Some would say they are the real MVPs in this whole situation. But it’s not my style to say that.
