MARION COUNTY, Fla. – Those slow drivers will get you every time!

Well, in this case, it’s a slow walker that hampered traffic in Marion County on Sunday.

Deputy Bryan Bowman was slowed down to almost a complete stop because of a pesky turtle that decided to take the road instead of the woods. You can watch the funny video below.

Bowman said that he tried to guide the turtle off the road, but the turtle “snapped” at him. How rude!

Bowman followed the turtle for about 20 minutes until the turtle finally decided to give the drivers a rest and walked back into the woods.

Want to talk about mailing it into work? How about being a police officer and just following a tortoise via car for 20 minutes? Now you can pull this shit off in New Jersey or Iowa or New Mexico and nothing will probably be going on. But no, this guy went one mile per hour following a tortoise for TWENTY MINUTES in FLORIDA!! I can only imagine the shit that went down in those twenty minutes where a cop was desperately needed. They literally invent new crimes in that state every day. I just read a story about how a guy killed himself, but tried to frame it as a murder by tying the gun to a weather balloon and having it fly away the moment he fired the shot. Yeah that’s the type of shit that happened in Florida while this guy was following a goddamn tortoise via police car.

These are all the stories we’ve covered from Florida since the end of June…

You take your eye for the police radar for 5 seconds in Florida and all hell breaks loose. Maybe that’s why all this crazy shit happens down there? Police officers are too busy following tortoises rather than checking the area for real shit going on. I just cannot fathom how you don’t get out of your car and pick the guy up and move him off the street after following him for a minute. Who has the patience to drive one mile per hour for 20 minutes? Only in Florida.
