People- Planters Cheez Balls are coming back so you can indulge in your nostalgia. After nearly 12 years off of store shelves, the round orange snacks will be sold for a limited time for only $2 at Walmart and Amazon beginning July 1. According to a spokesperson for the company, fans have been petitioning Planters online through Facebook groups and forums to bring the addictive food back since they were discontinued in 2006.

The company will roll out Cheez Balls online only to Amazon and Walmart.com initially, but are planning to expand to other retailers and brick-and-mortar stores in future months. And Cheez Balls aren’t the only cheese-flavored snack that are returning to shelves. Planters also plans to bring back Cheez Curls, an oblong snack covered in orange cheese powder, as part of the roll out.

Did Mr. Peanut do it again or did Mr. Peanut do it again? Hit’em with some nastiness, M.P.!!!

While everyone has been crying in their beers about that picture of Geoffrey The Giraffe getting evicted from Toys R Us ending their childhood, Mr. Peanut went ahead, put the team on his back, threw some ‘member berries in everyone’s mouth, and turned those frowns upside down. Because just like Toys R Us was a staple of millions of childhoods, so were Cheez Balls in the canister. According to the Barstool Sports Bureau, if you take all the Cheez Balls consumed by children of the 90s while playing old school video games, watching TV, and drinking powdered iced tea then laid them end-to-end, you could go to Pluto and back 100 times.

It’s not just the brand of the Cheez Balls either. Certain foods just taste better out of a certain container. Wine from a bottle, Coca Cola from a Santa can, Orange Drink from a McDonald’s fountain, and Cheez Balls from a cylinder. Get those plastic tubs and crinkly bags out of my face. And any Cheez Ball worth its salt ends with a “z”. “Cheese balls” are actual balls of cheese, not a delightfully nostalgic snack that you can throw into your buddies mouth while acting like Steph Curry. As the man known as The Many Snacks God, I welcome back Cheez Balls with open arms and sincerely hope the sales do well enough that Mr. Peanut starts feeling himself enough to bring back these underrated classics.
