You Can Kill Every Deer In The World, But Good Luck Hunting My Chicago Bulls
We spend the first 20 minutes this week getting an in-depth account from Dave and Chief about the thrill of the hunt. I'm sure Dave will have more on the topic later and the video will likely be very entertaining. This is me posting the entire video format of our podcast and letting you know there's a bloody, disgusting story off the top. Such is the case when you're an instrument of warfare.
In many ways it seems and sounds like Dave is a leading candidate to join the Barstool Outdoors vertical. That's nice but deep down I think he's just scared of tigers now that Javy Baez is in the AL Central. Time will tell if he ever admits it.
Personally I think the 2022 Bulls might be fighting for one of the top spots in my "favorite teams of all time" power rankings. There's some heavy hitters on the list but very few Bulls considerations in the 2000's. This squad has come out of nowhere to sincerely resurrect an enthusiasm across Bulls fans. Granted we're very-much influenced from what could best be describe as an overwhelming deprivation of positive experiences the last several winters. Of course we'll fall in love with basically any shiny new you put in front of our face. End of the day we're still meatballls.
But this Bulls team feels different. Ayo's going to be 1st team all rookie and I say that knowing he's going to get better. I feel like everyone on the roster is destined to trend up throughout the year. And more importantly, that should play just as much at a team-level. They're still just 20-something games into this whole "being good" adjustment. Barring catastrophe, logic suggest Billy D will have the boys at a higher level as they go through the year.
That's why I'm comfortable flagging the 2021-22 Bulls right now in early December as finishing the year as one of my favorite Chicago teams of all time. All the circumstances mixed together across all the different teams and leagues and rooting interests. How much things are falling apart in contrast to how good the Bulls have rapidly rebuilt under AK. Same kind of way you feel about the 2015 Cubs where you felt like you were playing with house money. Those years always hit better and different and I'm willing to bet that's how we'll look back on these Bulls.

Or I could just be overreacting. Experts say I'm not but I'll leave that door open. Things can always get worse.
