Meat Sweats With Jordie: Pineapple And Pulled Pork Deserves It's Spot On The All-Time Great Combinations List
Spaghetti and meatballs. Lamb and tuna fish. Pineapple and pulled pork. All are tremendous on their own but when they go together with their counterpart? A glorious match made in flavor heaven.
The thing about barbecue is more often than not, it's just a simple way to eat some really good food. There's nothing fancy about it. You throw some delicious meat on a tray, add some sides to the mix, maybe throw in some pickled onions just to add some color in there. It'll taste great but nobody is going to shit their pants over how good it looks.
So every once in a while you want to flex your culinary prowess. Every once in awhile you want to put together a meal that looks as good as it tastes. That's what you get with the pulled pork pineapple bowl. Otherwise known as some swineapple. And the best part about it is that this meal is simple as shit. All you have to do is smoke a pork butt the same way you typically would to make some pulled pork. And then the only extra step you have to take is to carve out a pineapple to use as a bowl. Toss some rice, peppers and onions in there and bingo bango, you're ready to go.
