Texas Is So Incredibly NOT Back
Marty Mush: Penn State UNDER 9 wins
Penn State should be significantly improved from last season but the schedule they drew is absolutely brutal. They face Wisconsin, Ohio State and Iowa all on the road. Those games could get you at a minimum to a push if they lose those three games right there which is very possible. They also face a tough Indiana team and Auburn in the out of conference schedule. They also lost to Maryland last year at home who they get on the road this year and should be improved as well. I think this schedule is more then difficult enough to provide four or more losses for the Nittany Lions.
Rico Bosco: Western Michigan OVER 6 wins
Western Michigan is a legit contender to win the MAC championship but they do have some tough out of conference games with Michigan, Pittsburgh and San Jose State. If they can just beat San Jose State they should be in great shape for this over but that’s not an easy task. They still have 9 MAC games that i think they’re more than capable of going 7-2 in, especially returning stud QB Kaleb Eleby and 19 starters.
Big Ev: Clemson UNDER 11.5 wins
I love taking a shot at this under. It’s pretty simple, Clemson loses one regular season game and we’re cashing this ticket. We won‘t have to wait too long to get in the mix with this total either considering they play Georgia on a neutral site Week 1. This bet could very easily get cashed in that game and if not they have some tough ACC road games against NC State And Pitt. Boston College (a team many are high on going into this year) also gave this team everything they could handle last year and should matchup well with them again this year. All we gotta have is one loss and we’re golden.
Mintzy: Texas UNDER 8 wins
Steve Sarkisian takes over a Texas team with some strong talent but a fair amount of turnover and a really difficult schedule. They start out with a really tough game out of the gate vs a really good ULL team that‘s a legit top 25 squad this year and is extremely well coached by Billy Napier. They follow that by going on the road vs Arkansas week 2, a sneaky tough rivalry game vs Texas Tech week 4 and then go on the road to play TCU week 5 followed by Oklahoma and Oklahoma State week 6 and 7. Not to mention they have to play on the road at Iowa State and West Virginia and then get Kansas State to end the year. This is the kind of schedule where if they lose to ULL and struggle with Arkansas things could start heading in a bad direction really fast for this team. Sarkisian is a good coach but it’s gonna take him a few years to get this program turned around if ever.
Brandon Walker: TCU OVER 7.5 wins
TCU should not have too many issues getting through their first three games in Duquesne, Cal and SMU. If that holds up they need to win five Big12 games to cash this ticket with Baylor and Kansas at home in games that should be gimmes. With some simple math that means they need to win 3 games out of matchups with Texas (at home), Texas Tech, Oklahoma, West Virginia, Kansas State, Oklahoma State and Iowa State. Even if you wanna call Oklahoma and Iowa State losses, going 3-2 vs Texas, Texas Tech, West Va, Kansas State and Oklahoma State is more than doable. Gary Patterson is a great coach and the offense should really flourish with a strong offensive line and some really explosive weapons at receiver and Max Duggan coming back in his second year as the starter. TCU is a dark horse team in the Big 12 with a chance to make some noise.
