Barstool Employees Are On Notice: You Can’t Hide From Your Hot Takes
Hot takes. We all have them.
But when you work at Barstool Sports? It’s part of the actual job.
But here’s the thing. Because we have complete freedom in the content we make, it not only allows us to say what we want, but we can actually lean into it going forward for debate’s sake and to continue to create playful controversy. It’s the beauty of what Dave Portnoy, the King of the Hot Take, created.
And guess what? Those hot takes are now worth a billion dollars.
But ever since I got here, I’ve been thinking. How well can my fellow employees defend their hottest takes? When PFT goes IN on Thomas Jefferson, can his argument hold up in a debate, especially from someone skilled at debate who holds the opposite argument?
That’s where I come in.
Welcome to Old Claims Court, where we investigate Barstool employees' hottest takes on social media, where wild and irrational takes live forever. Until our team of investigators uncover them, and hold these defendants accountable in a court of law.
