Tee It Up For The Troops: Come Watch Uncle Chaps Suck At Golf For A Great Cause
This weekend I had the chance to head up to Minnesota to work with an organization that is doing great things for the veteran and active duty community. The event was called The Longest Round of Golf. We aimed to play 100 holes but fell just a touch short of that because my back is an absolute mess and I heard they had warm, soft pretzels at the bar. Cant pass that up. Anyway, it was a great day where we raised a ton of money for the organization. To tell you just a little bit about Tee It Up for the Troops, here's a blurb from their website.
Tee It Up for the Troops is a national non-profit organization that has donated over $11,000,000 to programs that deliver critical services to help veterans from all eras heal and transition from the battlefront to the home front.
Through our REUNION Outreach Program and other partnering veteran service organizations, Tee It Up for the Troops provides support for six critical areas of need for veterans and their families: Golf and Sports Rehabilitation, Suicide Prevention, PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injuries, Employment, Housing/Homelessness, and Family/Caregiver Support.
With more than 500 charity events held in over 40 states, Tee It Up for the Troops considers it a privilege to honor, remember, respect, and support all those who serve(d) in the Armed Forces for this great nation!
If you can donate, head on over to their site to do that. Anything helps them help.
