-1 Russett potato
-2 Tbsp vegetable or canola oil
-1 Tbsp of butter
-Pinch of salt & pepper
-Begin by shredding your potato into ice-cold water.
-Once the potato is shredded rinse thoroughly until the water in the bowl runs clear, this means all the starch has been raised out.
-Drain the potato and place on a towel, dry thoroughly.
-Place a pan on med-high heat. Add veg oil and butter.
-Once butter is melted and bubbling add in your shredded potato in an even layer.
-Sprinkle w/ salt & pepper then cover the pan and cook for 5 min
-Remove lid, flip potatoes and cook for an additional 2 minutes
