Pinehurst No. 3 is my "not No. 2 or No. 4" recommendation. When you're heading to Pinehurst and looking for which other course you should play, or if you're looking for something more affordable than the big ticket tracks but still get the authentic Pinehurst experience, this is my answer. Pinehurst No. 3. At less than 5,200 yards from the tips you may scoff at the scorecard, but don't be fooled. This is a 1910 Donald Ross original that will embarrass you around the greens. Very, very fun golf course.
