A few months back, Big Brown Brendan Schaub came through the old Barstool HQ. He was the third Answer The Internet we did, behind Tim Meadows and Kevin Smith. And then something happened about a week later. Something that would grow to be my new obsession. Brendan Schaub’s original Answer the Internet was the first time we saw one of our videos get picked up in the Youtube Algorithm. Youtube opens that shit up to all of the people who watch similar content, you get into that recommended list of “Next up” and you watch the views pop. Watching Answer The Internet video randomly blow up is like crack to me. Its like a rush I cant find anywhere else. So that was the first of many to come where we saw it shoot up over 100,000 views and really start to make the rounds. Thanks to him and his fans, Answer The Internet really took off into one of Barstool’s best and biggest video products.
Well Brendan came back to NY last week promoting his new Showtime special You’d Be Surprised. We ran it back, this time with all of out questions at our disposal. Last time he thought it was tough to talk about his grandma giving handjobs so this time we grilled him about his mother murdering someone in front of him. But in general a lot of ATI questions often have a monetary value on one side of the equation. You have to endure some horrible or embarrassing fate in exchange for a large sum of money. Schaub was turning down STACKS of hypothetical money. I mean how much cash can this guy have? I know TFATK kills it. I know King and the Sting is the one of the biggest new shows in the game. I know hes got side gigs at E! and he does stand up and he’s getting that Showtime money, but I mean shit, is this motherfucker big time rich??? Unreal man.
Keep on killin it. You’ve inspired my new goal when it comes to monetary wealth.
