Max Homa Guarantees That He Will Make The Cut At The Masters This Week

On today's Pardon My Take... MAX HOMA! The longtime recurring guest of the show joined Mr. Cat and Mr. Commenter on today's show to discuss this year's Masters Tournament, the guarantee that he will be making the cut, revisiting the first time he met Tiger Woods, and much more. Speaking of that guarantee, the guys got into it regarding the details of whether or not Max Homa will be playing at Augusta on both Saturday and Sunday. Here is how that conversation went down:

Mr. Cat: Let's just do like a little, quick, how we're feeling. Can you really bounce off this Fortnite Open victory, and propel yourself to be someone who actually plays on Saturday and Sunday at Augusta?

Max Homa: I mean, absolutely. The only thing that's made me nervous. Golf game can't possibly feel better, the only thing that's made me nervous is for the first time in my life, I laid my nuts on the table and said I'm going to do something. I don't know if it's quite up there with a pinky bet rush, but this is quite the rush.

Mr. Cat: Now, did you say you were going to make the cut before I just pretended that you were going to make the cut. Did I do that to you?

Max Homa: No, I texted you that I was 100% making this cut this year.

Mr. Cat: That's right, okay. And then I said it out loud and put the pressure on you.

Max Homa: And you have a lot more of a following, and you honestly have a lot angrier fans than I do, so they're into it right now.

Mr. Commenter: So, what's the stakes here? I don't think you can just say that your nuts are on the line, unless…

Mr. Cat: Well, embarrassment…

Max Homa: It could be my life, because I think your AWL's might come after me, like, physically if I don't do this. I have to go play laser tag with Natalie's husband's kid (context below).

Mr. Cat: I think you should have to do that. If you don't make the cut, you should have to go to where was that, North Carolina or something?

Max Homa: North Carolina. That's not too far, I could probably make that happen. 

Mr. Cat: I think that would be a very funny visual. If you don't make the cut at Augusta, on Sunday we get a picture of you playing laser tag with a bunch of seven year olds you've never met in your life. And that will give you a humbling moment where it's like, "Hey, do you know how you could avoid this? Being better at golf, Max."

Max Homa: Being better at golf. I think that's a fair point. Those kids will not know it's coming, though. There's going to be a lot of aggression on that Saturday morning. I don't know if they're ready for that.

Mr. Commenter: Honestly, that sounds like a lot of fun, playing laser tag. You're like Billy Madison when he's playing dodgeball, lighting kids up.
