UConn Head Coach Dan Hurley "Doesn't Give A Shit" What You Think About Him

On today's episode of the Barstool Bench Mob... DAN HURLEY! The Head Coach of the Connecticut Huskies joined us on today's show to discuss his team being in the middle of a winning streak, being the reason why Rico Bosco and Adrian Wojnarowski have beef, and much more.

If you are a college basketball fan, you know that Hurley is one of the more animated coaches out there when he is roaming the sidelines. His passion for the game and wanting to win is very noticeable, which brings out some critics in the non-UConn community. The Huskies have a very successful basketball history, so how does that affect how Coach Hurley approaches each day? His answer will want to make you run through a brick wall.

"You know, following Coach Calhoun and Kevin Ollie, who both won National Championships on the men's side, and then you got Geno [Auriemma] over there, who's got like 12 Olympic gold medals and National Championships. We've got to be able to put the blinders on and just keep going forward. I think growing up in Jersey with a Hall of Fame dad, and like maybe the greatest point guard of all time in college as an older brother, I've got like really thick skin, I don't give a shit. I don't care what people's opinion of me is, like, I just want to try to kill the next team I'm playing, like, I don't give a shit what people say, it don't bother me. People think yelling at me during a game on the road... like, that shit don't bother me." - Dan Hurley

What a a guy. It must me incredibly fun to play for a coach like Dan Hurley. The excitement and the intensity he has about UConn basketball is awesome to see. Connecticut is currently the No. 20 team in the country and has won four straight game. Be sure to tune in to our full episode today, which includes the return of Big Cat as a fill-in co-host.
