Providence's Ed Cooley Might Just Be The Coolest Coach in College Basketball

Let's recap how the last few days have gone for the Providence men's basketball team...

Tuesday, 9 PM ET: The 16h ranked Friars tip off at Marquette for a Big East Battle.

Tuesday, 11 PM ET: Providence loses for just the second time this season, getting blown out via a final score of 88-56.

Wednesday, 3 AM ET: The Friars arrive back in Rhode Island after being on the wrong end of a 32-point loss.

Wednesday 1 PM ET: Providence Head Coach Ed Cooley joins the Barstool Bench Mob for an interview.

After the tough loss, Coach Cooley could have canceled. He could have said, "Eh, I don't have time for these guys. I need to get to practice and watch some film." But he didn't, and during our interview with him (watch above) he didn't shy away from the fact that the Friars had an off night.

There might not be a college basketball coach who is cooler than Coach Cooley (pun certainly intended). He was our first ever guest on the show last season, and we had him back on today's show. Providence is one of six or seven teams out of the Big East who can make the NCAA Tournament, and with a guy like Ed Cooley on your side, how can you not like your odds?
