Meet Paddy "The Baddy" Pimblett: The Next Big UFC Star

On today's Pardon My Take... PADDY "THE BADDY" PIMBLETT! The rising star in the UFC and newest Barstool employee joined Mr. Cat and Mr. Commenter on today's show to discuss his rise throughout the MMA world, Liverpool, his haircut, and much more. Whenever an athlete makes it to the biggest stage in their respective sport, they can probably look back at the time when they know they took that major step. Here is when Paddy said his moment was:

Mr. Cat: It feels like you've kind of blown up over the last six months to a year. Has it been crazy? I mean, you obviously have still a ways to go in your career as a fighter, but people are starting to notice you a lot more.

Paddy The Baddy: Yeah, it went bananas since my UFC debut. I mean, the UFC is a whole different kettle of fish. I fought on the cage warriors since I was 18, and it's the biggest promotion in Europe. It's a massive promotion, but the UFC is just that next level. You know what I mean, it's just a whole different ballgame, there's so many more eyes on you. I always said, if you go back and find interviews and podcasts of me even before I fought in the UFC, I've always said I'll have one fight, I'll have one interview, and everyone will know The Baddy.

Mr. Cat: And it's kind of true.

Paddy The Baddy: It happened, lad. I saw it coming, lad, and I know it's going to continue that way.

Mr. Cat: You've got to keep winning.

Paddy The Baddy: I'm going to keep winning lad, it's that simple, lad.

Mr. Cat: OK, fuck yes. Oh, that's the easy part.

Paddy The Baddy: Yeah, that's the easy bit. Keep winning, lad.

Mr. Cat: I'd say you being an electric personality is probably the easy part, because you are.

Paddy The Baddy: Yeah, that's just me. I mean, you've got wankers like Colby [Covington] fighting this weekend, who put a big fucking persona on, lad. You know what I mean? He's a tool.

Mr. Commenter: Did you know what you're going to say in your post-fight interviews?

Paddy The Baddy: No, everything in me just comes off the tongue, lad. There's no feeling like when you've just knocked a man out, and you're going sick. Like, I didn't plan on screaming "Chris Williams boxing," you know what I mean? That just comes out of me mouth. And then everything that I said just came out, I couldn't help it. You know what I mean?

Remember the name, folks. Paddy "The Baddy" Pimblett is going to be a major star in the UFC. He has an electric personality, he's an easy guy to root for, and he has one of the best accents in the history of Pardon My Take.
