Daniel Ricciardo Gives An Update On His Epic Party Shirt Collection

On today's Pardon My Take... DANIEL RICCIARDO! The popular F1 driver joined Mr. Cat and Mr. Commenter on today's show to discuss his recent win last weekend, running over people's heads, being in the zone for races, and much more. When Ricciardo was last on the show over the summer, a topic that the guys touched on was Riccardo's party shirts. Well, Mr. Cat did a little Big J investigation to get to the bottom of this apparel, and things took an interesting turn! Take a look:

Mr. Commenter: What was the process for you that night [after winning the race] of determining which of your party shirts you were going to wear? "Did you have one that was lined up, one that you would take around with you and say, "I'm not putting this one on? The patterns are so complicated, I'm not even going to wear it until I win a race."

Daniel Ricciardo: I really want to make something up here just to make it sound a lot cooler, but I didn't plan for it. If it's my defense, maybe, maybe not, I've been on the road now for like maybe six weeks, so everything is kind of recycled in my bag. And the only party shirt that I traveled with, I actually gave to you guys. So, I got nothing else. Wait, you're going to give me some shit for that, aren't you?

Mr. Cat: Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. So, we got the party shirt, thank you. We're going to frame it. It's from Urban Outfitters. You get paid, I never talk about another man's money, but it would be fair to say you're a millionaire, and the party shirts are special shirts. So, do we get the bad party shirts or is that what you're wearing?

Daniel Ricciardo: Yeah, you guys got the shit. Let's be real, I've met you once, yeah, sure, we got on, but you ain't getting no Gucci the first time!

Mr. Cat: Alright, good! That's all I cared about because I figured that was the case, but I was a little nervous that we talked a lot about party shirts, you've talked about it on Drive to Survive, it's very funny. I was a little nervous that it was like, all the party shirts were Banana Republic and Urban Outfitters, which is fine. But you'd have to have a couple that are like, "Oh, this  is a serious, serious party shirt." That makes me feel a lot better.

Here's how I look at it: a party shirt is a party shirt. When you win a F1 race, you can wear whatever you want! But I see what he is saying by making Mr. Cat and Mr. Commenter "earn" their way up to the elite party shirts. Love to see it.
