Rico Bosco Attempts to Put On A Flu Game Performance After This Week's Pick'Em Podcast

It has been an interesting week for my podcast co-host, Rico Bosco. In the midst of his contract negotiations, he was a team player and stayed in the office to record this week's episode of the Barstool Bench Mob. With another month of the college basketball offseason in the books, we are that much closer to the season tipping off. On today's show, we dove into the huge coaching news regarding Kentucky's coaching staff: the acquisition of Brad Calipari as the team's graduate assistant. Wild. Very wild. Marty and Rico reacted to that scoop exactly how you would expect they would.

My thoughts? It's a who you know, not a what you know business. Sure, Brad Calipari certainly got his foot in the door because his dad is the head coach of the team. But if he is going to climb up the coaching ladder in college basketball, that connection can only take you so far. If Brad Calipari becomes a D-I head coach one day, it will be because he has some talent on the bench, too.

Other topics we touched on during today's show include the commitment of Emoni Bates to Memphis, Louisville's Chris Mack getting suspended for six games, West Virginia's Bob Huggins (friend of the program) getting a contract extension with the Mountaineers, and more.

It was also an honor to be involved in the release of the Arkansas non-conference schedule release. Take a look below:

And a reminder to check out our behind the scenes videos at both Arkansas and Alabama, both available on the Barstool Bench Mob YouTube page:
