The Yankees Haven't Won a Game During the Weekend in Almost a Month

This Yankees season borderlines on the impossible. I mean how the fuck are they this bad? A lineup filled with underperforming stars all over who continue to disappoint. It's now mid-June and the Yankees sit 8.5 games outside of first place in the AL East. They have to go 60-37 the rest of the way just to get to 93 wins and sniff a wild card berth. This team needs to play .600 ball the rest of the way to maybe make the playoffs. Considering this lineup is basically the same as it's been the last few seasons I guess that's possible, but holy fuck it doesn't look good. 

Wanna know a fun fact? The Yankees haven't won on the weekend (Friday-Sunday) since May 23rd against the White Sox. Swept by the Tigers, swept by the Red Sox, swept by the Phillies. Truly unbelievable. I was wondering the other day why I haven't had a nice weekend to myself lately and it's because the Yankees refuse to win ball games. Zero wins on the weekend in almost a month! And Boone still is employed. Jesus Christ.

 As Jameson Taillon managed to only get one out on Saturday, Luis Severino was making a rehab start in High A. He left that start barely able to walk. Motherfucker was rehabbing his surgically repaired elbow and ended up destroying his groin. This image of him walking off was so depressing. Like what the hell man? 

We gave our reaction to Sevy's injury on the pod. We were sad. 

Now the Yanks head to Buffalo to play the red hot Jays and then host Oakland at the stadium this weekend. Great.
