I am NOT a bag a shit on social media. I just am emotionally, financially, and and professionally indebted to this team, and I expect them to play at least somewhat fundamental baseball and they haven't done that yet. If the White Sox were losing games playing clean, crisp baseball that'd be one thing. But they're not. They're sloppy. And sloppy baseball - or baseball that is littered with consistent mental lapses - drives me more insane than any one thing on earth. That's why you're seeing tweets like this:

There are a million more if you scroll across my timeline recently. You get the point. I just HATE HATE HATE bad fundamental baseball. HATE it. I hate it more than anything on this Godforsaken planet and it's because it's largely shit you can control.

I'd MUCH rather have a team that's underachieving at this point right now than a team that's overachieving. The talent is there - it's not like this team is playing like shit while simultaneously being loaded with bad players. It's the opposite. The rotation will start to go much deeper into games. The bullpen will be lights out. The lineup will start to thump. The small/fundamental shit will change and it will change at the drop of a hat… and I wager that this will happen now that they're home in Chicago.

It's going to be a FUN season, but a season that could be the death of your boy. It's going to be biblical and I cannot wait to get into the dog days and the entire storyline is going to be found on Red Line Radio
