Red Line Radio EP92, Presented by Miller Lite: We're On To Mike Trout In 2020
Beverly’s own Joe Flamm, Top Chef season 15 champion, joined us on this week’s episode. Obviously this was an atypical interview for us, but it didn’t make the interview any less awesome. He was one of the most candid interviews we’ve had thus far. Dude bleeds Chicago and better yet bleeds White Sox baseball. Here’s a clip of the email chain we had when we were setting the interview up:
My kinda guy!! South sider through and through. Delusional, but hates the Cubs almost as much as he loves the Sox. Oh, and he also gutted himself while gutting a pig:
I mentioned he bleeds south side tough guy right? Before his Top Chef fame, the guy would take the 95th street Red Line stop to the loop to work for $90/12 hour shift. He obviously saw all sorts of shit in doing so and lived to tell the stories on Red Line Radio.
***More episode notes***
– The Bulls are playing way too well right now. Eddie breaks down their chances at landing Zion and playing their way out of lottery chances to hit a top 3 pick.
– White Sox future outlook and the wins are going to start coming in bunches on the South Side (Mike Trout 2020 amirite) in spite of Machado, Harper and Jerry Reinsdorf. We also *obviously* talk #MouseGate
– Yu Darvish returns and “has the best shit of his life”, per himself. Carl says to “put up or shut up”.
Loaded show, as always.
