The Philly Police Department Are A Bunch Of Bad Ass Mother Fuckers
In case you didn’t know, there was a shootout/hostage situation yesterday in North Philly. It started around 4:30 pm when Philly PD went to serve a narcotics warrant and that’s when they were essentially ambushed. The suspect (read: piece of shit) started shooting at cops and then barricaded himself in his home. There were at least 2 cops who were stuck in the home and were essentially hostages at that point. And that’s when we had the shootout.
6 officers got hit, but thankfully they were all able to leave the hospital yesterday. One even took a graze wound to the head but walked out of the hospital on his own two feet. The men and women of the Philadelphia Police Department put their lives on the line to try to clean up the streets, and they got caught in the middle of a war zone yesterday all because they were doing their job. But do you think all the chaos was going to stop these bad asses from protecting the innocent and making sure it didn’t get any more bloody and violent than it needed to be? Hell no. Philly PD continued to stand in the line of fire and make sure that they could save as many people as they could. Like making sure that they got the 80 children who were locked down at a daycare across the street to safety.
And getting 4 women who were trapped inside the house to safety.
And eventually getting the 2 officers who were trapped inside the house out of there.
Then finally after 8 long ass hours of gunfire and trying to negotiate with this scumbag, the piece of shit finally surrendered.
Think about that for a minute. There was an 8-hour hostage/shootout/standoff situation that involved narcotics, some big ass weapons, and cops getting shot. And after all of that went down, nobody died. Not even the shooter. That is an absolute clinic put on by the Philadelphia Police Department and the S.W.A.T. team and everybody else who was involved there. PPD are a bunch of bad ass mother fuckers for that.
I know there are going to be people who politicize the shit out of this whether it be about gun control or prison reform or whatever. But put the politics aside for a minute and just be happy that 1) no lives were lost during all the chaos yesterday and 2) we’ve got a bunch of legends working for PPD.
