It Was Actually Big Dick Nick Who Made The "Philly Special" Play Call. Add A Few More Inches To The Hog
Obviously Doug Pederson should still get plenty of credit for this play call since he’s the guy who had the call on the play card, had them running it at their hotel before Super Bowl, and was planning on using it at some point throughout the game. But shoutout to Big Dick Nick on walking up to Dougie P, only up by 3 with less than a minute left in the 1st half, 4th down from the 1-yard line and saying, “hey should we throw the ball to me?”

And again, shoutout to Doug Pederson for having the confidence in Nick and the confidence in the rest of the offense to pull off that play. It’s just crazy that Nick Foles went up there during the timeout and decided it was time to run one of the greatest plays in Super Bowl history, a play that will forever be remembered in Philadelphia sports history. Honestly I don’t know who to thank more for any of this. Nick for the play? Doug for preparing his backup quarterback to put together 10 of the best playoff quarters ever? Howie for going out there and bringing Nick back to the Eagles? Chase Daniel for wanting to get out of here thus opening up that spot to bring back Foles? I don’t know, man. It’s crazy how perfectly everything fell into place even with how much adversity this team faced along the way. And it was all culminated right there with the “Philly Special”.
Not only did Foles make sure he got both feet inbounds, but he also made sure to drag his dick in the end zone as well. I love Carson and can’t wait for him to get back but holy shit Nick Foles is a big dicked legend.
